PJ0mA83-dspp. oh yeah they can and restructured it can work. no one should think their job is so important because when all is said and done it really isn’t. there’s always another way.
Receiving will still be there. It just might fall under a current groups structure. This diagram was on a managers desk and an associate took a picture of it. Saw it at least 6 months ago. Possible it’s a long term shift in structure.
People keep saying there is a diagram but no one seems to have it. Someone take a pic of it next time you see it. Someone will have to be in receiving. If they jyst have anyone do it that will be a huge mistake just like getting rid of audit. With high $$ merchandise coming in during day. (Jewelry, computers and cell. phones)
I have seen the same diagram. It shows what managers are over what areas. Receiving was left off of the diagram. I didn’t understand it at the time. I thought it was a mistake, kinda hope it was. Wish I had the picture to show.
You can not just get rid of receiving. There is still things to do all day.
One associate saw a manual in the managers office and thats how we found out about receiving being done away with
its all just hypothesis, these rumors have been around for 5 years, anytime 1 position is changed, or eliminated, or restructured, they all come up, it used to be the Jewelry, receiving clerk rumors, now its the receiving TL's and PTC's, they are doing a lot of test, in small volume clubs, in a 5-10 clubs at a time, someone finds out, and automatically they say its going company wide... sometimes test are only that... they don't work, and are altered or thrown out all together.
When changes like these are happening, no-body knows.... except a very small handful of UPPER leadership, not even market level, there is no body on the office side that finds out, not even the ones that draft the materials, they find out typically 12 hours before and are told to stop what they are doing to work on the "packets" and materials, the CM's and MM teams typically find out 1 day before.... so if there was a leak, it would happen the next day, and there is no more, beginning of the year, look at all the announcements, that happened in the last 12 months, they are random, could happen tomorrow. Never feel that you are unreplaceable, this is retail, all retail, everyone seems to forget when Costco got rid of their accounting positions, and nobody thought it would happen to us, that was naive! Wal-mart transitioned a year ago to all stores, and at the end of the day... it works!
