From what I understand talking to several different people Boise will continue over approximately the next eighteen months or so,to shrink. The difference this time is that Boise is shifting the"type" of jobs they will retain. As certain types of jobs go, other jobs affected by their departure will disappear as well.Basically, if your work derives from the work departments leaving produce you will be out of a job as well. If your area is not busy now it will not get better. It is only a matter of time. Why de the last person to go? Start planning now to take care of yourself. Your supervisor will say one thing and out of the blue something else will happen. They don't know everything either. Things change. Timelines change. Don't let Micron plan your future. Take control of your own future. Oh and yes; any sevrence, Top, stock or any other money coming to you will be taxed to death. What you think you are getting and what you end up with are two different things. Bottom line: If you are not busy now you will be going out the door, and it will be just as abrupt as that. Good Luck to you all. Please don't fail to see the writing on the wall

Good for you. I left end of last year and got another job in three weeks. Best decision I have ever made. All the lies and stress is not worth it! Trust me everyone will get a job once they get out. I feel sorry for the individuals who are staying until March of 2019 just so they can get the severance. Start looking for a job now and leave that horrible place that treats you so worthless... It is coming down to you better have that four year degree or else you are gone.
I’m not with Micron but looking for a home in the Harris Ranch area to buy
beem gone since last summers sham. nest decsion ever. you cant see that when you are stuck drinking the kool aid
I have finally decided to stop riding this yearly 'Layoff scare train". I don't make enough money to go through this stress every year. This is far from the best place to work in Boise. Leaving at the end of the month. I feel better already.
