That’s what happened to me. I was 45 and worked for HCA for 13 years. I got promoted 4 times, always had good performance reviews but was fired for poor performance even though I had only worked for that director for seven weeks. I didn’t get a severance.

Now nurses are having to clean rooms once patients leave. Can you believe HCA cutting out housekeeping. How low and cheap can you go. You don’t see them cutting any management positions. Kharma kharma

Currently cutting PRN’s as well as believe it or not cutting ER registration. They’re going to get it down to the bare bones keeping only the lower paid ones which are the least knowledgeable. Nurses are also not exempt not replacing those who leave. They are jeopardizing patient care big time. It’s all about the money. You don’t see them cutting management actually the just had several promotions.

I agree they can do what they want to do.... they started in the hr call center with the older workers. People are wondering what can be done

They can do what they want without justification. Seniority accounts for nothing. Treating people so wrong to do anything to make them quit. Don’t work here, no job is secure no matter how good you are.

They are forcing their older workers to take retirement packages or just firing them for performance. They are currently laying off 5% of their older workforce. 88
