Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Outsourcing has started at Thomson Reuters

Outsourcing to Tech Mahindra has begun in NYC , Bangalore and Eagan . Several hundreds of employees were moved to Tech Mahindra same time last year and it's happening again this year . Developers and QA are being outsourced. This is happening across products in ET&O to cut costs and reduce full time employee headcount. With poor business growth outsourcing will continue in the near term.

The clueless IT management at Eagan deserve to be shafted ... when they took over the Reuters IT strategy etc it started to go pear shaped. Huge Reuters systems squeezed onto virtual platforms, backup software changed to the Thomson product of choice - I told them it would never scale and guess what ... it didn't :)

The site deserves the nickname we gave it - Bumblefuck

I read somewhere that TR is trying to consolidate to 5 main offices so, i guess they're going to keep hitting the little offices until there are no more places to hit. IMHO i dont think we are doing well in any of the arms of TR. profits have turned to dust.

Good luck to everyone of us out there.

St Louis, Austin, Beavercreek and a number of small offices are included. TR is carefully keeping the number secret.

No surprises here. The Thomson family is just trying to milk as much money out of the company as possible and then kill it off.
