Mastrangelo may be the quintessential Guido, but he is bluntly and brutally honest about some things. If he says you should update your LinkedIn and resume, then you'd best get on it, Paisan. Bada boom, bada bing, you're laid off at the ding...

@POY32ML-4gxu-What leads you to believe Mastrangelo is out this week? He does have an all hands Wed.

From where I sit (Greenville Engineering) he does not seem to understand the product or how things get done and has responsibility spread across multiple organizations. Has been sending out strange employee publications suggesting we all update Linkedin profiles. Many of us hope you are right.

All these newly appointed execs are hatchet men. Flannery is himself the hatchet lead...why do you think he was chosen as CEO at this point in time? Once the blood letting is over, he'll be pushed aside for the next young plunderboy.

Straczik is a GE blue eyed boy ( Corporate Audit staff alumni and all ) .. finance guy to cut costs ..guess the lawyer guy from Ireland ( Mcllhenney) couldn't execute the cuts . Alstom , a company that would have been liquidated had GE not thrown in the life boat , is now sinking the GE ship.

Greenville repair folks better get ready to abandon ship.

Strazik gave his first all hands address in Atlanta today, and it was subpar at best. Couldn’t answer the most basic of questions about power generation, and stated that employees would be his “guinea pigs” when determining his leadership style. This should go over swimmingly.

Rumor mill is that they needed a choir boy who could speak to the masses, but who was good at sharpening pencils and eliminating folks. Get that resume ready boys and girls. If this is the leader of services, we’re screwed.

Oh yes, the required papers are with IRS. Baden/Birr will be relieved of GE by Q2 '18.

My understanding is the GE did not, has not submitted plans to the IRS so there is no way Baden or any other location in Europe will have massive layoffs in Q1. With the time it take to go through the work councils it is likely later in 18 and maybe into 19.

The Power Services CEO retirement was announced internally by email today. I assumed it was on the news but don't see it out yet. Some millennial looking guy is replacing him. Last name Straczik.

Power services now locating HQ away from Baden to Atlanta. Rumor is GE wants out of Baden completely. Baden will have a massive layoff first quarter 2018. IRS numbers have been submitted. How long until power generation business relocates HQ back to USA?

Every good thing advertised about Alstom was a fairy tale lie......profits, sales, headcount, costs. Alstom was a overstaffed, underperforming, welfare state. Now GE has 10s of thousands of heads in Europe it can't shed fast enough. GE is now laying off heads in US because they can't layoff in Europe until 2018. Sad. Buying Alstom was a terrible move by Immelt and Bolze.
