Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Ongoing...

... I am no longer there. But worked there for over 10 years

Over the last 2 months, in Collaboration and Enterprise networking and Service Provider networking the pocket "attrition" continues. I know people who got laid off in all groups under the radar.

Sad.

This is not the Cisco I knew. It shows a management team caught in a self destructive pattern. No company can survive such a constant culture of loss.

I left over a year ago after being there for about 11 years. I get contacted very frequently by people who were just laid off. They say the layoffs are monthly now (compared to quarterly before and annual for most of the company's history). Looks like in full death spiral. I was contacted by a Cisco recruiter a few months ago asking if I was interested in coming back.....I asked why would I want to work there? They never replied back. Wow.

Very sad to see it all after devoting so much of my career and life there. Really shows how important the top exec spots are. They can make or break a company. There is definitely life after Cisco. I am much happier after leaving. I work with phenomenal people and am not looking over my shoulder all the time. Good luck to all. Life is short. Enjoy it.

Folks getting laid off in Service Provider Networking is news here. It was already reported about lay offs in the other two BUs.

After so many rounds of lay offs, I'm mentally ready to get laid off. It would not hurt.
