The plan to turn Hon into cash by selling assets and reducing expenses, cash for options, buybacks and dividends, is working and likely can continue for longer. Not sure how long maybe a year, guess. WS is still in love with Hon. WS loves this, they wil trade, make $ and move on to next company when they think ability to create cash is not good. Very similar path that GE and IBM took. WS also loves mergers and spinoffs as they make a lot of money from these too. Lots of talk today of GE spliting up into pieces, horrible numbers, but WS like the split up talk.

Sure, things might look fine on paper but ask yourself how true that is in reality. Does anyone believe that HON is this prosperous? No. They are cooking the books by reducing headcount and assets. Addition by subtraction. The problem with that strategy is, eventually you run out of stuff to sell and people to RIF.
