Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Should we spend more or less on lobbying?

Found an interesting article on how much money tech companies invested in lobbying so far this year, and Oracle is at the top with the highest increase and nearly $9 million spent so far this year. I'm really not sure where I stand on this. On one hand, the money could be spent on other things that seem much more important, but on the other hand, if the government does opt for open-source software, we can lose much, much more. Should we go all in with the lobbying or save money and hope for the best?

Tech should spend more on lobbying. When Americans can get tax refund for buying computers and software, our salary will shoot to the moon .
