Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Molina rated 1 star by members

Yelp Molina Healthcare and check out real comments from members like us in Yelp. If there is 0 stars, Molina will get 0 rating in Yelp for various reasons. No wonder company is laying off so many.

I signed up for Molina thru the Obamacare marketplace in December and have regretted it ever since. I locate providers on their website, call to make an appointment and get told they don't take Molina. This has happened over and over !

Most of my prescriptions are not covered so I am paying out of pocket for them.

Molina has cheaper prices than other healthcare providers, that is why they get the one star.

After that everything s---s!

The are very slow in responding to bills so the hospital or Dr. office usually feel the need to

send the bill to you which you then need to forward on to Molina. It is a slow process that takes months of back and forth. This has happened with every healthcare related bill.

You are required to change your password EVERY MONTH for online log in! The password cannot be related to any previous passwords. After you have gotten the confirmation email verifying the change of password and you go back to log in it will not accept the new password. It will then lock you out of your account until you call in to tech support. After 20 minutes on the phone and after having given your SS #, Birth date, Full Name, Mailing Address, and Policy # at least to 3 different people you can then talk to someone who has the authority to send you a link to reset your password!

As the primary account holder you don't have access to anyone else on your account's id cards. You cannot view them online. So if I want to view my 4 month's old account i need to create him an email address, give him a password and have all his information ready to i can get his ID #!!!! Same thing for my 5 year old and my wife!!

Whoever is making the privacy policy has lost me and all my friends!

I am usually all about saving money especially when it comes to health insurance. But in this case do yourself a favor and pay the extra $100 a month and go with someone else. I believe the time and effort you spend following up with them is just not worth the hassle. I would rather work several extra hours a month and not deal with all this then pull my hair out trying to navigate the quagmire of bureaucracy in trying to get them to pay out and help me!

No one cares about Yelp! No one cares about Molina! Molina is for poor people. Get a better job that offers better benefits and you won't have to deal with companies like Molina.

To the original poster...I am SO terribly sorry to hear this. I worked for Molina for seven years. I worked hard and cared very deeply about members. No company is perfect but what you have shared sounds very viable and also terrible. I wish that someone cared but sadly, I don't know that it will get better. I think that Molina will be sold soon and members, like yourself, will become part of larger organization. I hope this makes you getting the care you deserve, easier. I am so sorry to hear this. I wish I could help. I no longer work at Molina as I was laid off. I can tell you, not everyone there would disregard your concerns. I worked with many people who cared a lot.
