They will keep hiring:

  1. Specific roles

  2. Post jobs to fill with preferred candidates before layoff packages are delivered.

Doesn’t mean there won’t be layoffs

So why do they keep hiring MAU? It doesn’t make sense, someone please explain?

Take all of this with a grain of salt. TheLayoff can be useful, but you simply cannot believe all that people say.

my rules:

  • read between the lines

  • look for patterns

  • look for keywords

  • talk with people on the ground

  • if it sound crazy, it's likely crazy

cheers

t.k.k.

There was no HR meeting today. I’m in Greenville and everyone knows when there’s an important mtg happening. Everyone’s on pins & needles around here. Me personally, I don’t give a flying f.ck. Lay me off I’ll have another job in less than 60 days, probably making more $ and with better benefits. I could use a month’s paid vacation.

I have heard rumors the percentage for layoffs or cuts are north of 30% for Power

By news I mean rumor. It's not news until they sit us down for it.

There are currently 2728 employees total in Greenville right now (excluding Aviation @ Donaldson). If this news is true, it would mean a cut of 66% of those employees.

There’s zero risk posting here, as long as you use a non-GE device to do so. But I agree this post is BS...the ridiculous numbers gave it away. Low IQ troll.

This is all fear mongering fakery. No one who would be in that meeting would risk their job posting on here

Think we are missing some key info. Is this in regards to just the manufacturing? This doesn't apply to all of GE Power in Gvl right? Any more details?

build plan looks brilliant for the generous. Hey, Siemens is financing some plants maybe GE can do this as well? Oh, wait GE has no money for that...they are too busy paying the corporate leadership to run metrics on a down cycle business.
