Wow Flannery is off to a great start. He must be getting paid by the number of um and uh. He seems so enthusiastic when he presents it really drives confidence

I forgot about jack’s stuttering. When he got excited it got worse. Sorry , but he was a crappy leader. Yeah, he made share holders a ton of money for fair bit of time but he left a sh-t hole for JI to pick up pieces ..this is no excuse Jeff, under his leadership GE had the longest pathetic results in the history of the company. We kept heard by pay for performance but metric were always a joke.
Flannery talks about the great job he did at Healthcare , as template for what he will do to GE. But Healthcare results (Revenues and Op EBIT) were exactly the same when he left as when he took over. I hope he doesnt turn out to be Immelt part deux.
I hope you don't really think Welch was effective via his intimidation, financial manipulation and other games that erroneously drove the stock up and is now part of the problem. you are confusing the outcome (high stock price ...yeah I know that is great) with how he got there and the key ... sustainability. also, don't forget who chose I Melt
Jack used to stammer and stutter. It did not reduce his effectiveness. But Jack had confidence. He knew what he wanted to do. I did not hear the speech. But hopefully Flannery can dig deep down to find the guts to save this company. GE has a legacy of greatness. Identify and save the greatness. Cut the bloat, parasites, and pretenders. Remember...if the business cannot stand alone as a number one or two then it should not be in the portfolio. Tough, and measurable. Restore metrics. Not touchy feely. Compete! Win! This is a great company. Act like it. Take charge dammit!
I assume you're talking about the Friday video he sent out. This one had a record number of uhh and umm, even for him. It was painful to watch. Still no confirmation of cuts or timing. It has everyone frustrated and on line and needles!
