I've been at Nike (as a contractor) for 3 years. In that time, I've seen 3 rounds of layoffs, and 2 of my direct managers were terminated, along with some of my colleagues who have been here a long time. The biggest loss is the people who have that 'tribal' knowledge, who know how things work, that we can't rely on anymore to help us, and leaving us in a lurch, which takes time to bring new people up to speed on.

its the NIKE way - what corporations seem to forget is that the most important ASSETS are their people - they will fall....just hope most of my friends get out before it does......
