Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

PS management can't sell even the best

PS management is lead by a guy who is opportunistic.. he stabbed his own boss to get this previous job.. then he threw few more guys under the bus and then he got his current job.. his track record is so bad that the only reason he has a job is because of the management style.. keep the weakest guy for the top job.. others who applied didn't make the cut.. this is the management style in Teradata. Surround yourself with people who are like you... Now everyone in Teradata should know why no one wants to buy Teradata. The main reason is the useless management unlike Amazon, Google, Microsoft and other top tech companies. To make the numbers look good they will keep firing more employees till there is no one to fire. Keep hiring in offshore while Americans lose jobs here in US what a model our wise guys have come up with in Teradata. Don't sell just lay off the numbers will look good.

Gary Henderson - a weasel and a rat and such a perfect fit for the type of management Teradata looks for...as it's just like them!

All this info - it doesn't just apply to PS. It is all over the company in all departments.

I am shocked that the PS VP can be this open and be discriminating against the folks who gave up so much on personal front and helped the company grow. I am shocked that he is not fired and all the ethics rules are thrown out of the window. So much for the ethics training provided by Teradata.. I guess those trainings are meant for show only not for actual practice. I hope some of the employees who are older and got terminated get together and file a lawsuit against Teradata for age and salary discrimination. If in America these kinds of discrimination is tolerated what can you expect in the rest of the third world countries? I am not at all surprised that VP targeted older workforce who were with the company for long time and replaced them with offshore or younger work force.

The lead US PS guy is Gary. I was in a meeting 3 months ago where he opening told his entire management team that we had 'too many high paid seniorresources that have been around for way too long, and we needed to find way to move them out and replace with less expensive resources'. I was surprised at his statement/instruction because an HR representative was in the room and this seemed to be clearly targeting those who had been with the company for a long time (e.g., based on age).

how come you don't know the Professional Services lead in Americas? Everyone knows this guy.. he talks a lot but can't deliver anything.. we have so many guys who are all networked and haven't produced anything for past 4 years but still get to keep the jobs.. they just move around from job to job.
