Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

When are RSUs deposited at Merrill Lynch?

Was laid off from on 7/31/17 after COP sold San Juan. My last RSUs have yet to be deposited in Merrill Lynch. Does this process usually take more than 1.5 months?

Another good reason to work at COP. Most other companies make you forfeit any RSU's that have not vested when you leave. COP steps up and still gives you the ones that have not vested yet. I got mine after I was cut, but many friends who were cut from other companies didn't get a single one.

Plus they got 2 weeks - I got 12 months!

It's not fun to be told to go - but COP goes above and beyond to make it an acceptable experience.

Are employee's awarded RSU's in back to back years or are RSU's only awarded as an infrequent bonus for performance? As a first year recipient of RSU's, I am wondering if I am eligible next year, granted my performance rating is good.

After 7/31/17, my account showed a 0 share balance. My 2015 and 2016 RSU's were re-entered into my COP account in full this week. My 2017 units were prorated at approximately 50%. The lapse date was back dated to 8/1/17. The share withholding for taxes has yet to be done. Based on previous years, I imagine the taxes will be settled and the balance will be deposited in my individual account by the end of the week.

They won't show up until you sign the severance letter saying you won't go after them for anything. If you've done that at it has still been 1.5 months then call HR Connections and ask for the ETA.

It's RSU not RSA, so clearly you are a troll and not a previously laid off COP ex-employee with any useful information.

What pathetic purpose is there to spreading discontent on a layoff site, if you never worked there?

Unfortunately, RSA's are a carrot on the end of a highly unrealistic stick...

I'm guessing that since they didn't perform the courtesy of following through on the RSA promise in a timely manner, they probably don't intend to follow through...

Sorry, but don't trust these fkrs until the $ is in your bank. they're going under, and they don't really care bout you. you might look into legal representation...
