Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Layoffs happen often in Healthcare - this is just the first time for Molina

I speak from experience - having survived thru a few layoffs in my career. Some companies go thru this every other year. Molina's profits were crap. The company of 20k+ people going out of business was a possibility unless a restructure & layoff was done. So, if you think you are going to pop over to another healthcare co that doesn't lay people off, you are in for quite a surprise.

secondly, profits is arbitrary. I don't recall Molina being in a deficit. It's value wasn't all money, it's a company of nickles. Molina has expanded tremendously, employing thousands nation wide, helping thousands nation wide. That was the true value, gain, profit, vision of what Molina really was. All while making a money profit. Molina was never money profit centric, the board is. Blood s---ers.

For the most part, healthcare is one of the most stable, and especially our line of business with government healthcare management.

It also depends what you do.

I don't like this argument. It's not about the fact that layoffs are happening, it's how the whole thing is being handled. It seems like a significant lack of respect for the employees.
