Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Monday layoffs

With the latest comments from the leadership, we know more layoffs are very likely, if not certain. I was hoping that last week would have been it, at least for a while, but apparently no such luck. This was not a fun weekend for me, and I can only imagine how it was for the people who were already let go. Do we know if the layoffs will continue already today, or will we get some time to regroup?

This is not over. It seems clear Molina is prepping for a sale. If you are still working there, prepare yourself for the future. If you do not know what it looks like when a company prepares to sell or what it looks like when it has been sold....it would be wise to read up. It might benefit you to stay around until you are let go. But staying for the long haul will mean a rollercoaster and there may be little reward for sticking around. Good luck to all who remain. Good luck to those of us who are looking for our next job.

I get the impression that there will be one more round of layoffs in September, likely at the end of the pay period again--so either Sept 28th or 29th, but I don't think they will be as big as the round we just suffered through on Thursday. If/When Molina is acquired, there will be another significant round, but that will be at the end of the year at the soonest, more likely end of Q1 2018.

This is based on educated guess, not explicit insider knowledge.

The (paraphrasing) "we will most likely have more layoffs" part at the end of the message.

What latest comments from the leadership are you referring to? I interpreted the latest communication as more upbeat when it stated that the most difficult times are now behind us.
