You put weak managers in place and you end up losing big time. Look at the mess at baker Hughes stoneywood North Sea. Incompetent management has lost a lot of work.
Things have gone down the toilet, folks. They want cheap labour and you get what you pay for.
This time the article says a small number of employees were "furloughed". Really? I do not think this is a temporary leave. They wiped out an entire group of highly talented Engineers who unfortunately works in the US and were replaced by Engineers in Baden.
Earlier this year the GE press release said a small % of GE workers were "offered severance packages"
"offered" ?
The only "offer" was for more than 20% of the Engineers in Schenectady to lose their jobs.
If GE wants the stock price to go up, why not tell it like it is and say they laid off US workers to be replaced by workers in Europe and India. And by the way, they have not touched any workers in Mexico.
hopefully hourly comes sooner than later, with the serious lack of accountability and all the new paper managers this place has gone to hell. management only holds this accountable that they won't to and it's sad the crao some people get away with well other doing the same will get in trouble. huge rat infestation in 273 and I don't mean the 4 legged kind
