I wouldn't get too excited. US shale will start making more as soon as prices go up.

Oil is starting to go up, $60 not far from here, another 20% upside. Making a leave wouldn't make sense now. Oil will be going up to $70 after Trump leaves the office. Carbon emissions in US are huge and poses a lot of environmental issues

Socialist government taxes is cause for companies leaving Canada. Employee reductions (layoffs) is due to economic environment that has been created.

If anything total is smart. You don't spend money where it doesn't make you money.

Think about it if it was just conoco that place wold be blowing through cash thanks to the grade A managers that we got.

Surmont is doomed as long as Total is involved. We’re spinning in circles, getting nothing done, racking up bills.

Eastern provinces pulled us into a full socialist government. All the multinationals one out now! Layoffs are in minutes.

Total and COP probably want to get out but not sure who is willing to spend that kind of money right now.
