Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Mattel can't save itself, not to mention Toys R Us

From the article:

Yet, the company, which operates about 1,600 stores globally, will likely survive because manufacturers such as Mattel Inc., Hasbro Inc. and closely held MGA Entertainment Inc. need the last remaining toy chain.

I wonder how do they expect Mattel to save TRU when we can't even help ourselves?

The Board is VERY CONNECTED to what's going on - THAT"s the problem! They have consistently pounded on fashion dolls to deliver the profit target in order to drive the dividend (which is what drives the stock price) at the expense of all other brands. This sheer GREED is what is to blame for not balancing the profitability and size of it's other core brands.

Now when fashion dolls are "out of fashion" (sic), the other brands can't deliver due to neglect.
