Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

3% of corporate stores in the entire company are on pace to achieve 100%+ to quota this month.

Something like 8% are on pace to hit 90% to gross add quota which is what we hold specialists accountable to reach or else they progress to verbals, writtens, final, term.

At this point I would rather have an hourly increase and lose any "commission" we make.

@3uiy these "sales reps" are commissioned. You would think they would be motivated to make as much money as possible, but no, they get lazy and blame their sh--ty months on the random customers they received. Meanwhile, all across the district/region, similar stores with similar reps, who deal with the exact same customers transactions types as each other, meet and exceed their individual quota. Managers can't motivate somebody who is unwilling to be motivated. We can motivate them out of the business.

So the Store Management Team is not driving the business? I thought they were the ones that are responsible as to what happens regarding store sales. Again nothing ever happens to these people regarding the store sales results. They will defend their jobs on this forum and tell you that they work so hard everyday. These are jobs were you put your 8 hours

in hang out ,go home and make anywhere from $80,000 + per year. and having 4 to 5 of these "clerks" and greeters in the busy stores is mind boggling.

When i worked at VZW i had months i made 5k-6k. The problem is those who put quota together do so to ensure you work harder not smarter. You sold 30 new this time last year well sell 60 this time and still make less. They know what they're doing its a game to them. They have realized they can make the reps push themselves to the breaking point to make some kind of money even though its much less. Those who figured out the system have went on to take our sales talents elsewhere were we can make more money without being screwed every which way

Whoever said "they did away with PIP and it's all behavoir based" must be thinking of last year. I assure you it's PIP if you don't hit 90% of new AND renew.

Half our store is on some sort of documentation. It will get worse after this month. Looks like vz is trying to thin the herd and pip out reps if not entire stores. Was a nice run while it lasted.

I used to work in a Verizon store from 2004 to 2008 before moving to corporate. Back then I recall having a 500 gross gain and 400 upgrade quota per month and hitting those easily. The store was always busy.

I think those days are long gone and the writing is on the wall for retail. There will always be stores, but I just don't see most of them surviving this.

Less than 2% on pace to hit 100%

Less than 6% on pace to hit 90%

5 days left and I might have a check for $600 plus dollars at .9 multiplier. I can't live on this type of check and then taxes taken out. Verizon has gone down.

The behavioral thing was garbage. Yeah let me commit to saying the same damn thing to every customer regardless why they’re here. Never understood that logic

They did away with PIP so now everything is behavioral. This just means no ones making any money
