Thread regarding L3 Technologies layoffs

Vicious cycle of incompetence

Sales is the first step in this viscous cycle of failures. You can not sell a plane for 2/3 the cost, tell the customer that it will be complete in an unattainable time frame with half the manpower. God help you if you need engineering support especially at night or the weekends. This location could make money and restore the reputation of L3 but no one will stand up and give a more realistic cost, manpower and time frame bid. When this finally happens, Waco L3 will be a more formidable competitor in this business.

Couldn't agree with this more, @AdEFGj7-fbbet. I understand wanting to give competitive prices and time-frame, but there has to be some kind of a balance. Not to mention that laying people off will only contribute to getting more behind. L3 truly is stuck in vicious cycle of incompetence.

Is D.C. Still there? Why. Failure. Keep doing the same stuff, keep failing.

I've always thought it was a no brainer that maybe...just maybe...those making the promises for unrealistic time line, would get a clue. I'm sorry...but there's no way you can promise something in 2 weeks if it takes longer than that, even at the minimum work time, to finish it! And having 6 managers standing over you screaming and pushing to get it done, doesn't help. HELL!...all it does is increase the probability things will be done wrong.

Unless l-3 gvl picks up the contracts, all the expansion in the city of Greenville will be for nothing. Wesley will look like downtown Greenville with all these restaurants popping up everywhere.
