Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Not dead yet?

How many people remember this far back?

Have the Courage

Everest Librarian Laurie McConnell did the right thing, by reporting on the abuses at her school. And now her story is being told in the US Senate. How many people at EDMC (and Argosy University, The Art Institutes, Brown Mackie College and South University) are willing to do the same thing? Who has the values and the courage to resist predatory behavior by their employer?

I'll blow the whistle on these schools when we first put a few hundred people in jail for causing the 2008 financial crisis. Given that managers at Goldman Sachs, AIG, Morgan Stanley, etc. knew what was going on and did nothing or bet against the market and made $$ while the rest of the world lost most of what they owned, and nothing happened to them, why bother with a bunch of silly for-profit colleges milking a bunch of lower class Americans nobody cares about for their $$? Follow the $$ Camden. The people getting hurt at for-profits are Americans the rich and powerful don't give a @#$@! about. Nobody who has any power or influence cares. You care. Why? Ticked off because you got duped or treated poorly by a for-proft? Get a therapist.
