Intel Vacation Question - Carry over unused vacation hours

A new joiner here - do you know if we can carry over unused vacation hours (in California). I know, it's awkward to as this on a layoff site but this is turning into a semi-official employee community so I might as well ask it here (and I am sure I will get an answer, no matter how sh--ty, faster that any HR 'specialist' may be able to deliver)

thanks...

You can carry over vacation, but all the managers I have had they never kept track. So document it.

You will never get to use all your vacation, now get back to work!

If you are an exempt employee in California, you can carry over for up to 3 years, that was the policy a couple of years ago. You'd better do your best to track/document used versus unused each year as it might be your word against your manager's word.

Let's say you earn 3 weeks per year. If you take no vacation for three years, you are entitled to 9 weeks. If you take no vacation for four years, I believed you are capped at 9 weeks.

Take your vacation, you need time away from the nut house. If you are non-exempt, that's a different story as you can cash in at perhaps time and a half.
