I am the cash office lead and was told by our regional assistant I would receive a packet in the mail Dec 3rd. I want to know the specifics of the severance. I understand the 12 week average for the years you have worked. Why has every other position that has been eliminated been given a packet when they have been told of the cuts. Now we have to wait until after the last day to get our packet. I am 99% sure I'm leaving but I do not want any surprises. How can we find out more? I heard when audit left they had a full information packet. This is a huge life decision for a lot of us. What if there is something in the packet that could be a game changer??? Then it's too late you already said you were leaving!!

What is the code they should put for unemployment?
I was on the Auditing team and I took the severance. The day they told us they gave us a packet of information with phone numbers for things like Cobra, 401k, stocks and so forth. It also gave an estimate of how much your severance would be. I did not get the actual severance contract in the mail until my last day of work, June 5th. You read that over, sign it and send it back. You receive your severance check in about 10 days.
Exactly. But this was also why I decided to leave. Not a lot keeping me here. Found a new job and I’m loving it. It’s amazing to see the difference a real company has over Sams/Walmart. No drama and everyone works.
I agree it’s pretty sad we have dedicated our live to this company and no one can give us an answer .I feel the same way we need to know what we are getting before Dec 1st.
Q0Kv0Nw-nfv. has it occurred to you that everyone on here doesn’t give a crap about your pea brain comments? probably not. just knowing that you’ll be a cart pusher from now on must give you security in the job market. now go away and corral those carts
You can look up the Severance Policy on the Wire. It explains everything & you should get your packet in the mail 2 weeks before Dec 1st. So make sure your address is correct.
Has it occurred to either of you that the company isn't disorganized, but rather, they just don't give a S_T about your concerns?
Probably not.
i very much agree, i’m leaving but even something that seems insignificant may be that deciding factor. i heard, receive the packet in the mail two weeks before dec 1. so as usual no one seems to know a damn thing. anything after dec 1 seems too late. can’t get definitive answer anywhere. total disorganization from the beginning of this crap. Sam’s has no idea what they’re in for with this robot. dec 1 can’t come soon enough.
