Onshore Wind Layoffs within 3 Weeks

I learned from my HR manager today that we will be laying off hundreds of people in The US and began preparing us for the conversations.

Here is the narrative spun:

this is a knee jerk reaction to the budget meeting with Flannery.
Anne McEntee destroyed this business and she gets to destroy a new services business
Paris HQ is artificially a ‘lean’ HQ because they bury cost in this business.
HQ is trying to survive as a location by consolidating operations. However, it’s led by someone who bankrupted the Alstom Renewable business

I heard biggest impacts will be in engineering, projects and regional operations

The HR leader, Deboleena is running around putting names on reduction lists and we need to justify why one of our people shouldn’t be laid off.

It’s really weird... it’s like she has tunnel vision of executing a number without operational consideration.

I’m sure she is just trying to preserve her job and AEIP
