Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

ALL CURRENT HO EMPLPYEES LOOK AT HEALTHCARE

West coast, Oregon, Detroit, new jersey... walmart provides extremely good healthcare to employees in "key talent" areas. They have unlimited PTO, crazy low health care premiums and up to 22 weeks maternity and 12 weeks paternity leave all 100% paid full salary. Home office associates are getting screwed.

@1pqg pretty sure the poster just made a mistake on the coast. No need to get bent or anything.

Leadership, particularly homegrown, quasi leaders at the Sr. Director level have been a problem for a long time. It is still shocking that there are people at that level with no experience, particularly of technology, and of the industry they support. It is most shocking when you come in from the outside to see how these "leaders" have to lean on costly consultants for the most basic of tasks that their staff should be doing. If you are a consultant though, you'll ride the gravy train for as long as possible. These leaders tend to be very insecure and surround themselves with people who are just as clueless.

I can see why Walmart has made statements about HO not being a talent area. It's very insulting to the hard working people there, but is fault of the executives that encouraged the problem in the first place by putting individuals in leadership roles that either did not have the temperament and/or experience to lead and develop staff.

I agree that they are rotting from the inside out, but it's happening because they have some really bad leaders messing things up and treating the associates poorly.

Your associates will treat your customers and your business the way that you treat them.

We are aware. It is a caste system and it does s---. But they get away with it.

Apparently the jet team can curse in the office and has happy hour in the office on a Fridays. Can you imagine that ever happening at HQ? Lol. Not likely.

Complete double standard.

And they wander why the middle America is permanently pissed - there will be a lot of turmoil in years to come. The coasts are experiencing unprecedented prosperity while the rest of us suffer.

This is true, 100% compare the plans between ecommerce and normal. Segregation. I just hope they don't start having different water fountains depending on if you work for e-commerce or brick n mortar
