I worked for Nationwide for little under 7 years. I still think it was a great company to work for in terms of work life balance and a culture of work. However, there were too many shuffling. They were too busy to implement borrowed idea than innovate what best fits for the team and organization (Lean / Dev Test Optimization just to name a few). I started sensing racism when it came to promotion to a managerial position. They openly boasted on attrition rate that is helping them with their cost savings, rather than keep the talents. When I sensed I hit a dead end and there was no room to grow, I acted. I resigned with dignity few months ago and got another job that paid better than a director position at that company and a lot of upside potential on a technical field.
