GE has been downsizing for a good number of years. Getting rid of the Appliance, Div., Plastics Div., GE capital, salary retirees first, and the hourly retirees second, these were people who had been retired for short tough and ahead of everyone else. GE was, and I hope will be a good Household name again. People will work and pull GE back together if you give the people in the field a chance.
