Just how WRONG is this. CB&I is closing offices around the world, laying off people left & right....so what does CB&I do....host United Way Week....asking people to pledge money, but raffle tickets, contribute.....can a company be any more short-sighted???? People are terrified of losing their jobs, probably cutting back everywhere they can personally in case they don't have a job for the holidays and this f#@cked up company wants me to donate to a community cause? Don't get me wrong, United Way is an awesome organization....but manipulating people who are in fear of not being able to feed their families or pay their rent to make a donation is the ultimate in low....I thought the new plan was to take care of our "most important asset", employees!! One word.....BULLS#&T!@

Are you f&$#ing kidding me?? CB&I is asking for money from people who may not even be able to feed their families....but can't be bothered to match contibutions?!? While those disgusting executives can't be bothered to go down to the events, mingle with their "most important asset"....but send their admins down with trays to stand in line & get food for themselves & their "gods"....i don't know how much more disgusted I can get!!
This is a PR and HR stunt to make the company appear to have good will. HR is just overhead trying to make the company look good. They do not add to the bottom line.

This is the hypocrisy of PM and the executive management- they are keeping their 200k a year perks in form of cars Amex golf club membership yacht club membership and corp plane use but they are cutting 400 more jobs in Woodlands alone before Christmas! Still have to cut 80 million off corp exepenses but haven't cut a single VP from Sps or E&C but go ahead and give us your money for UW! Sorry sorry sorry people - you will answer for your actions!!
CB&I does not care about you, why should you care about them?
Get United and ask for money to help the people who lost their job in the company. And you will how much the Employees share and how the executive VP's don't.
don't forget the company isn't matching the employee contributions either!
I could not of said it better myself. We are all facing the fact of losing our jobs and not being
able to provide for our families while CB&I has the balls to Milk us out of money for this
stupid United Way event. Don't get e wrong, I a all for United way but it's obvious the company
cares NOTHING for it's employees. Sad Sad situation. Do you think would in the mood to give money
when we are in fear of losing our jobs? Give me a freaking break. GEEZ
