Over 200 and counting devices with snapdragon 835 to get launched soon.

Qualcom, Caldera starting to eat into servers and others to follow.

AMD attacking head on PC and server market.

All that is holding is established sales and OEM relation channels, but those won't hold long even if Intel pulls some of the tricks from the past.

So, what do you expect BK and the Intel leaders to tell "we f.c.ed-up" or do some psycho-political damage control "we're divesting from non growth market", yeah right and instead do btw 30-50 B desperate investments (automotive, fpga, nervana, etc,..) throwing it's incompetent forces and getting same result each time = failure.

Nite to see how alive the entrepreneurial spirit is inside of Intel. Lots of „Let‘s keep doing the same“ kind of people.

Intel ever win when it didn’t have a monopoly or competitive angle?

Today what is intel’s competitive advantage besides lots of money and engineers driven by stupid managers to throw late at every emerging fad.

Let’s see there was Itanium, WiMAX, tablets, and other big winners. What is different now?

Intel dis-investing in core business that is half of the company's revenue? What is going on?

Intel tells employees this in BUMS so the employees are not discouraged by the news... Intel has no choice but to give up MSS because INTC is so far behind. It is not truly a choice INTC wants to make but simply a reality.

CCG is roughly 8 - 9 billion in real $$ per Quarter! Yea, INTC is leaving it behind for self-driving cars, drones, and other non-sense... PC business could be 20 billion if Intel had stuck to its original mission and focused on the high growth emerging markets... What does this tell you about Intel's Board of Directors and BK?

It‘s funny how many people haven‘t realized yet that Intel is leaving the PC market behind, because it is not a growth market anymore. So we don’t give a damn if Microsoft tries this once again (not the first time, after all).

Either OP is not an Intel employee or OP is too dumb to understand what has been explained at the BUMs many times over.
