Putting in a notice?

So, I am about to accept a job offer and I am curious as to if Verizon accepts notices anymore. I had someone put their notices in a few months ago and they worked til their last day. But I have also read that people are let go once they give a notice.

If you’re Wireless I would offer notice anyway. The way the industry is changing (shrinking) you never know you’ ll end up working with/for. If they walk you to the door enjoy the time off.

Give them ur notice as u walk out the door. Make damn sure u have a signed hiring package from ur gaining employer. Too may times I see folks quit then no job offer is presented

I would give them the same notice they would give you if you are Rif'd...NONE!

I put in my notice last November of 2016. I was not leaving for a competitor, and I worked the two weeks. They actually wanted me to stay longer because of Black Friday, but I wanted out before then!

If you are Marni you can gave a 3-month notice (and get a special hug from Lowell on a quarterly webcast).

Depends on how necessary you are. A coworker of mine was let go on the spot when she attempted to put in her notice- because she was a tiny cog in the machine.
