They would be pissed either way.
what paper says 3%?
I personally know the union was quite pissed off about the companies announcement and that it was released to press before they were notified. would be no reason for union to get pissed off if it didn't effect union employees
Paper says 3%
Some anonymous ppl say hourly w ont be touched yet ...
Some say 1/3..
Someone did say 301 was meeting with the company monday...
Anyone have anything to back up ANYTHING they say ...
150 to 300 union employees
Rumor has it 1/3 of the hourly will be effected in Schenectady just a rumor though
Unfortunately GE just announced that they have to cut $3.5 Billion which was reported as $2 Billion just weeks ago.
As they review the numbers and especially cash flow shortfalls things will start trickling down to more across the board cuts since $3.5 Billion is a huge number to achieve. Even though Schenectady is in name GE Power headquarters, all the management is actually in Atlanta where huge bloated high cost structure exists that outside of Alstom, is really dragging GE Power down.. Atlanta is a huge high cost [lace to do business, especially in the downtown Marietta area high rent district where GE rents very high price buildings for workers that are spread out in many buildings all over the city.
They will not get rid of that, and thus will waste Schenectady to save themselves there.
More bad news will come in 2018 soon that they are now hiding.
inb4 negative Nancy chimes in and tells everybody how stupid they are and to remove heads from the sand....and how SCHY will be decimated soon, just you wait and see!
