Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

FA was appointed to that position because overseeing all the people on the project by just the sups is too much. Calling him lazy is false. He works hard and always looks out for his guys. Anything I need, he gets done. So by demeaning his work ethic, you know nothing. Every company has goals and objectives. He's making sure the shop is being productive. Do your job and theres nothing to worry about. Theres no gun to your head, just quit if thats how you feel. No I'm not sup/ management. Im a worker who collects a check and grateful that I can take care of my family. I survived an even bigger take over with another company. Sad to say guys, this is nothing.

That’s what happens when there’s a bunch of lazy VP and supervisor running the depo especially that lazy no good HR lady sorry am not going to mention no names.

This is all you guys do post articles about stuff we already know. Complain about this complain about that. I know exactly what you guys are talking about I feel it too but you guys don't realize nothing we do is going to change it. This company has mastered one thing which is to take emotion out of business and honestly you can't fault them for that. You say go union and keep what you've got but that won't make a difference because they'll just close up shop and open a new company. They're a train running downhill with no brakes, you might be able to slow it down but you'll never stop it. You've got two choices either use whatever skills you have and start a new career or ride it out and hope for the best.

Comcast has 22 million subs no chance government would approve another 4 million. Debt has nothing to do with charter they have 16 million subs

ATS started off with 1319 Field Service techs, 333 OSP techs, and 130 Construction techs. We need an updated count. (please)

Questions for Altice management:

• why are so many techs leaving ATS and going to Spectrum?

• why are so many members of the management team leaving and going to Spectrum?

• why are we tie-wrapping and taping instead of lashing?

• has any OTDR testing been done? if so, how much?

• how much upgrades have gone on in the head-ends?

• after nearly a year into FTTH project, just how many customers are lit up?

• are you at all concerned with maintaining the coax plant in CT? (there's barely anyone left)

• since ATS does not exist in Oakland & Brooklyn, how exactly do you plan on upgrading them to fiber?

• what's there to stop you from scaling back or even completely shutting this project down, especially if the stock price continues to tank?

• how come we don't see Fat Barry anymore? Ever since his top lieutenant left for Spectrum, he's been in hiding.

At some point in time, best believe we're all going to be able to understand these simple equations:

(in-house techs) + (fiber rebuild) = BIG FAIL

($58 billion debt) + (sinking stock) = BIG FAIL

(at-will workforce) + (no representation) = BIG FAIL

It’s bad. All of the good guys left to spectrum especially OUT SIDE PLANT techs. To many NIDS SRO’s there’s custumers left out for days on outages. FCC needs to look into this problem.

What’s the point of watching FTTH guys if your at the same location for hours running 3000 feet, or splicing...More efficient if you were watching the techs but that would be to smart..

For sure as stated in the post we have 1 in Hawthorne .. glad I am not FTTH !!! Because those guys are harassed everyday .. produce or go back to where you came from ... that’s real quality work you’ll get !!! That fiber will never work once or if it’s even lit up !!! Cheap fiber , Not supplying tools . And rushing to make numbers for a dying stock !
