Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Ok I am sorry some of the clubs have membership office people that just sit all day..but I can assure you that's not my case.. I am in field at least 4 days a week walking far distances in aND out of businesses trying to sign them up.. I also attended chamber meetings as well as school functions.

I also work member desk and help cover breaks andown lunched and back up Mss.. When I am in the office..I am replying to emails and making appointments from sales pro and following up with cash rewards mistakes as well as letters to the president.. I am nervous I'm not going to lie.. I have been in this position for 30 years and have made a name for sams in our community. Now what?? What will I do?

I simply see them combining front end lead and membership lead into one position. Oh wait... JUST LIKE IT WAS BEFORE! This company makes so many changes it's unreal. Each time people change around at home office they start mixing things up at club level.

MSS is a useless position as well. Most of them are in the office 80 percent of the time instead of on the front end helping take care of Members

I hope that Membership Team Lead goes first. The position is pointless. I could run the front end and the desk as well as outside sales without even breaking a sweat.

Keep in mind this happened before. Marketing scaled back maybe 10 years ago? It's not needed. Does Netflix have 650 "coordinators" out drumming up people to join their service? No. Why should Sam's Club.

If only all membership offices worked this way. I'm sorry but 98% sit on their a-- and do nothing, while the rest of us tend to members.

You will be offered whatever position is available in the Club or take your severance package. We will all survive outside of Sams Club
