Thread regarding Chicago Bridge & Iron layoffs

Something right

Maybe we need to start looking to competitors to see what we can do right. I think it's comical that the green cross medal from 2015 still sits outside the main lobby when safety has most definitely taken a back burner. I think 6 or 7 ppl died onsite last year alone. Meanwhile competitors are thriving. Millions in debt but I know the banks will get their money one way or another.

The person I work for only cares about one thing, looking good to her superiors, at any cost and without regard to her employees. To this person an employee is only a tool for her to use to or I should say abuse to show the higher ups her “abilities.” While we get absolutely no credit nor even a word of appreciation. Counting the days until I can make my departure, it is in the works! There is no future in this hopeless and misguided company, it may take another year or two, but mark my words there is no future here folks! All done.

The culture has to change and that starts at the top. You do not punish your employees for doing the right thing. The construction bully mentality has to change or you are out of business. It is that simple, does not take an MBA to figure that out.

Ethics and Safety are comical twins in CB&I. Dishonesty and corner cutting are signature traits of the management. I doubt it will get better ever.

Its called ethics, something that has eroded inside this company, to the point of being non-existent.

do not be a follower, be a leader. Treat your employees and customers right! Executives are too worried about money so that they can get their bonus. Short minded!
