Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Who knew the Grinch's first name was Alex!

Obviously the polite mannered Canadians are taking this layoff with the usual "oh it's just business, don't take it personal" BS. Where are deep mole(s) that can anonymously get the word out to the rest of us peons. The process doesn't give a rats ars about your past performance ratings, company savings and contributions to the organization. What do you think?

Sounds like a DB staff is a little defensive.

Instead of trashing the DB and its staff every time he talks to investors or the DOB, maybe AP should press release some of the top tier results from several of the DB plays in the last few months to reassure investors that it was a good deal, and the results support that. He's so focused on being "differential", he (and the rest of CVE) hasn't taken the time to try to understand what they have or how outstanding the assets actually are!

Hopefully the next owners won't be run by a downstream lawyer and will actually deliver on their vision!

The new CEO should be given a chance - so far he is cleaning the disaster left for him and i have some confidence in him. He is making decisions and sticking to it.

His next move should be getting rid of the “never held accountable” idiot Big Z. Get rid of him and HC. HC has nothing left to offer except cupping Z’s balls.

The truth is Alex doesn't know this industry. He is from midstream and he is a lawyer. He has to rely on idiots like Big Z. He is already making mistakes, and I am not even talking about the layoffs but the promotions. Calgary office will lose about 20%. Field will not be touched.
