I have read a number of posts here claiming s-xual harassment. Is Nike immune from what’s been happening in the film and entertainment industry? I expected a number of claims to be made in public after what I read here. Are people just making stuff up because they are mad or are people just scared to say anything? I am not trolling, I actually want to know.

Appears things changed today. I am not surprised at all that sr Nike leaders resigned immediately after MP sent out an email about bad behavior and brave individuals coming forward.
I haven been afraid to report it due to retaliation or loss of my job.

Nike is more about ageism than harassment.
Because "we" are afraid. This is our lively hood. There are many of us.
I haven’t read any posts claiming harassment. However, I worked in footwear for years and there were always stories. I asked a person in HR about some of what I was noticing and she told me that as long as it was consensual there wasn’t really anything they could do about it, she actually said she couldn't do anything about people falling in love…. There have been a ton of inappropriate relationships at Nike that went unpunished, a precedent has been set. Nike employees can have s-x with each other and not get fired, they’ll probably get moved with a promotion, but they won’t get fired - all you need is to know who else had gotten away with that behavior in the past, if they didn’t get fired, you can’t get fired, even when a subordinate is doing her manager, she will lose all credibility and respect, her career will be over and he’ll go on to get many promotions, but neither will be fired. Now, if you use Nike resources to fund your romantic getaways that will get you fired. There was a couple in NSW years ago that, “missed a flight” stayed an extra day or two in Europe and they both were immediately let go, but I suspect neither of them were very good as I’ve witness many mistakes made by higher-ups that were overlooked. Nike is almost a perfect metaphor for society. The higher-ups or elites live under one set of rules and the worker bees live with a different set and if you’re not popular, ethnically ambiguous or just really attractive, you can be replaced. At this point Nike is NOT hiring based on qualifications, but rather age and appearance.
There are definitely some dirtball VPs and Creative Directors that should have been fired years ago.
