Thread regarding Chicago Bridge & Iron layoffs

Timecards

Just wondering if anyone else thinks it wrong that they made us put in our time today for WE 12-24-17, so they could have it all approved by noon CST. And they threatened that if you don't that your check may be incorrect or delayed.

I would rather report at the right time even if it means getting paid. I am an engineer. I prefer an orderly world where numbers are not just guesses.

I agree totally with last post. McDermott needs to clean house and get rid of all of the crooked people that are related of CB&I. I think we have a small chance of survival for the few of us that are still here. I'm excited.

CB&I time sheet policy is very inconsistent. It is pretty much left to Accounts and department admins. We can’t project OT but we can project regular hours. This type of early time sheets are minor pains compared to corruption, nepotism, and lack of integrity in the management.

Only silver lining for CB&I employees now is that McDermott wants to have a functional on-shore group and they should try to preserve the workers bees. Otherwise, if CB&I let people go at the current pace, there will not be an onshore group left. At the same time, if they continue with the current group of Directors, Department Directors and Project Managers on the same path of corruption, nepotism, and no-integrity, what McDermott acquired could be hollow. So McDermott better be proactive in cleaning the crooks out of CB&I before it turns into a hollow group.

It is illegal to report hours worked before they are worked Right? Or am I and the training video we had to watch earlier this year mistaken? People that don't have vacation to take and are working Friday were forced to put their time in.

Time sheets need to get done for taxes and end of year calculations. Most companies do this. All salary and project hires do this. And in case you did not realize salary are also hourly. People take vacation this time of year. Fill out your time sheet and be happy you have one this time of year. Many families are worried how they will pay the mortgage.

I won't be there to find out. Already got my letter. May or may not be extended. They are letting go of really good employees instead of family members. MCD needs to get involved now or there won't be anyone left that actually knows what's going on.

It is because our so called wonderful people in payroll can go home early or when they want. Come on now, you know they are part of the CB&I family. These are employees that are related to each other that come and go as they please. I hope this crap ends when MCD takes over. I'm so excited

Cheers
