Perfect title for the end-of-the-year GE related article if I ever saw one. The article in itself is not all that, but it does point out that there is nobody to blame but GE itself, which I believe is completely true.

Some people would have made huge windfalls from these acquisitions.
Immelt was the biggest mistake. A gambler who failed.
And buying Alsthom blew up on GE the year before that.
Buying BH was the f--- up of the year.
