Bristol-Myers' upper management is absolutely horrible. Their bias is visible from space! They are incapable of seeing things for what they are or recognizing the hard work of people who are actually contributing to the company. They have their favorites who cannot do wrong, despite the fact that they are mostly useless.
HR is no better. Even if an issue is brought forward by several people, both HR and upper management will completely ignore it. People who brought up the issue will suffer the consequences, though, including being laid off. The politics are just astonishing.
The best you can do here is shut up and take whatever they dish out until you have a chance to move on.
