I was at a company before that was bought by Broadcom (not going to tell you which one, though you might guess). It was not funny. Broadcom is like a vulture that picks the bones clean and takes all the tasty meat.

Broadcom assigned a "VP support" to every VP in my company when we were bought. They ended up forming a two-in-a-box management relationship with them. They apparently had two purposes: 1. Weed out anything that looked inefficient or non-profitable. 2. Replace the VP when they finally resigned. Managers below those VPs then had to prove the value of every single employee and team, and if they couldn't do that convincingly, those people were gone. I was a victim of that myself, despite constantly getting great performance reviews.

So I have updated my CV. I will not wait until the Broadcom sh--storm rains down on me again.
