BHP Billiton used to be an amazing company to work for, but that has changed drastically.
While pay and bonuses are great here, they will expect the impossible from you. We are chronically overworked, our lives have turned into a never-ending cycle of sleep-work-sleep-work... It would be one thing if it was project based and we knew it would end, but it never lets up!
This has plummeted the morale of the employees, and people have started breaking and leaving in droves. Our turnover is at least at 20 percent already, and its only going up. And we are losing some of our best people! I honestly don't understand why we even need layoffs with this many folks opting out on their own.
I truly hope management will readjust course soon. This used to be one of the best places to work available, it'd be nice to go back to that.
