I understand having a policy that favors personal improvements, but what UPS has is simply ridiculous.
The philosophy they promote that you need to improve constantly achieves the opposite effect. Supervisors and managers either intentionally or on purpose misinterpret the intent of the philosophy and end up creating a toxic work environment in which we are never good enough, no matter what we do.
You can bust your behind and finish everything in time and all you'll get is "do better." It's annoying and unrealistic, and it's causing employees to stop even trying. Seriously, why bother?
