Oracle CEO says idea that most Silicon Valley companies are into AI is 'just nonsense'

"Oracle Corp. CEO Mark Hurd thinks many Silicon Valley companies aren’t being completely honest about their efforts to develop artificial intelligence technology." Yes, he is correct. He needs to stopping F..ing lying about his company's efforts in the AI space too. The really twist the trust when it comes to their definition of 'AI' and 'machine learning'.

After Google, Amazon, and Microsoft started talking about AI, Oracle was in the AI business too. BS. Just a bunch of opening source algorithms anyone can download and embed in an APP or a 'Cloud Service'. Again, they never lead with innovation. Just following the market buzz words......

The fact that MH is still at oracle is a testament to how detached from reality LE and the Board are. I mean, who in their right mind would let this dingbat run anything, even less be the co CEO of a large company. Mind boggling

At HP he said the key to profits wasn't HP's traditional innovation, but lean operations, i.e. layoffs. At Oracle he said cloud was a passing fad, long enough for Oracle to slip from the forefront to a weak also-ran. So now he says AI is a passing fad. I expect the same outcome as all Hurd's other grand visions.

Oracle is the last company that should be questioning the honest of any silicon valley company. MH is that last CEO that should be questioning the honest of any CEO in silicon valley. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad and pathetic.
