Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

GE Transportation got their non-solicit/no hire policy email

GE Transportation employees and those assigned to GE Transportation can not change GE Businesses, nor can GE Transportation accept any applicants from other GE Businesses. This is the beginning of the end of being a GE Employee for Transportation

Tell me more about GE Transportation in Erie, PA................. What is the real plan? You can't trust what the BL's tell you. All they are doing is feeding you hogwash to try to keep their metrics up, so THEY look good on paper. An example is their lean at the plant. They fudge the lean move times, so it looks good on paper that it is working, but actually, the product isn't finished. They do not show the 2nd paper that shows all the rework needed to complete the product.

Why do we need all these BL's? They can get rid of one and save 125k a year. What about Andy P? Why do we even need him? Even more of savings for GE! Toooo many upper management running around trying to justify their positions.. I'd cut 1/2 of them immediatly!!!!

Agreed, not necessarily a bad thing to split from GE.

This may be the best thing for Transportation ...getting out from under GE. Jobs should be saved as well.
