It was reported to all the media outlets that they planned to layoff an additional 250 at the beginning of 2018. Google it

Where/when was this 250 layoff # provided by Humana?!? Everyone keeps talking about it but I have only seen it here. Has Humana actually confirmed this number somewhere?

1qpa- that has been said in many meetings, open enrollment ends the 7th of December, so they will know more about the staffing needs at that time

I honestly think they will have to look at enrollment numbers before making a decision for first quarter 2018 layoffs.

So Humana is saying 250 more, but could be other areas of company. January is just a rumor, as is Feb and March at this point. Anyone know any different?

So far coaches know nothing about January. The only place I have seen January mentioned, is here.

Coach here, HCCP HCM coaches did NOT do reviews. I can’t speak for other coaches. HCM RN coaches were not aware or involved in the process.

I was impacted in first round of layoffs. Whole teams were let go then so obviously it had nothing to do with performance. I think people are always looking for answers as to WHY certain people were laid if....AND sometimes there is no answer..it depends on the role, department, etc. So there is no way to tell if you will be impacted, I believe it is true that sometimes the coaches don't know also, don't forget many coaches have been laid off too. So no sense agonizing over reviews.... you may get let go if you're a high performer or low performer it depends what their criteria is for that particular Department. Hope everyone impacted gets comparable jobs, I did but it was a nerve wracking experience.

Last in and first out theory is not correct. Some hcm end on my team have been with Humana less than 3 months wee not affected while those here over a year were affected.

HCM coaches did not do reviews for layoffs. They were wrre chosen by last in, first out metric. A few others were also included, not sure why. The only ones of the new hire HCM that were excluded were bilingual. But it was absolutly not based on a review. Every other group did have a review, and if the coach is telling you they didn't then you are being lied to.

@QhGK3dQ-fwg Are you saying RN coach's did not do reviews for the layoff? That looks like what you're saying. I wish people would be clearer when they make absolute statements. So my coach, PHC Coach did do a review?

I want clarify.. there was no score, so low reviews is not really accurate. We just entered areas of improvement and opportunity.

Another coach here, and any reviews we did in HAH HCM RN side were not completed with any knowledge of any lay offs to our HCMs. Yes we complete performance reviews, every job does. There were some who got low reviews and were not impacted and some who got fantastic reviews and were impacted. We had no knowledge and were not a part of deciding who was impacted and who was not. I am sorry if you believe different, but that is the truth. Most coaches are doing the best they can for their HCMs and their teams. We are not the enemy.

Coach here and not every coach had performance ratings submitted- it depended on the director and what department you’re in. Please stop spreading lies and diving people with their coaches. I’m not saying that some submitted them, but not all did. Pls don’t make absolute statements.....thanks!

Good luck everyone, I wish I had something positive to share. We’ve been kept in the dark about details. Unless one may have a close relationship with director or above, they have kept their lips sealed 🤐

it IS performance reviews. Your Coach has reviewed 5 or 6 parameters which describes your performance and each time a coach tells you anything different they are not being honest. This wasn't the same for the impacted RN's. I don't blame my coach but it makes me angry an on fire when I see this lie repeated. They did do reviews. May the lord god himself be my witness.

The paperwork is standard, and the hr dept uses an outside consulting firm to ensure that people can’t turn around and say they were discriminated against related to age, race, s-x, etc....I highly doubt someone was able to get their job back related to claiming discrimination....humana is a large company, and, that doesn’t seem likely....that would be a huge legal issue and, quite frankly that takes money and time to prove or disprove...rarely will a lawyer take that on against a large company because of how they protect themselves against that possibility...if one 60 year old is being laid off, many others have to be, too, so the original one can’t say there was age discrimination....that’s why the algorithms and outside consulting firms are used, its not who you know, that won’t keep you.

My reviews were great. been here 6.5 yrs...so it's not based on seniority or reviews. Some algorithm...

Not performance related at all. But its all who you know. And its those screaming "race card" that get jobs back. Opening a new can of worms for the rest. I know of one that did that. It worked for her. THey are worried about being sued, sending forms for people to sign. Why would that be?

I highly doubt the layoffs are performance related. I had a quality review rating of “zero” for one of my calls (long story), making my entire quality average awful as a result, and I was not impacted.
