GE Power had some of the worst decisions made since 1998, almost two decades. It took all this time to empty the well of the good that existed that kept the ship afloat.

In the last five years, the decisions ruining the business was in such a downward spiral that there is almost nothing left. The cost structure from dumbing down the business defies imagination and the ability to execute in a cost effective and quality manner in the engineering, production and service business is pitiful with the lack of expertise and bloated, non expert management many of who have never done the work of groups they manage because they were promoted only for having "new ideas" under the six sigma regime. Unfortunately, many of these new ideas were really bad ideas that ruined the nature and capability of the business, with resulting high cost structure from present low efficiency.

All the technical leaders and management who knew the what they were doing saw all this coming year after year for the last few decades. Now there is not much left to salvage, unless things are restored similar to what they used to be. What they used to be made sense and had evolved based on extreme knowledge of the business and technology. Now it is a low efficiency bloated, low capability mess.

How Immelt and his leadership team fabricated and robbed the employees and their families and investors of everything for over a decade. This guy should go to jail and return every single penny he ever took for GE.

This is redundant analysis done by many analyst before. Nothing new, every one having minimum intelligence knows what is and was wrong with GE.
