Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

so much red tape

maybe we could move forward if the company simplified its reporting system... decision making is so painfully slow sometimes due to its matrixed structure...

the red tape doesn't help one bit... and a lot of times when something goes wrong or something needs fixing, a lot of managers will have the attitude of it being somebody else's problem... they just shrug it off...

no wonder so many things never get done and get lost in the shuffle...

also, annual layoffs s---... simple as that... nobody is safe, and we all know it...

Hey, it only took 1 month from the date I ordered a replacement battery for my portable for it to arrive.

Heck, it cost almost 89USD and involved 8 email notifications of the "progress" being made.

You can understand that at that level, Jim Smith needed to sign off.

But Jim could do so only after the request went to Bangalore for "processing".
