Whatever the numbers may be, this rollercoaster isn't over... I'm one of those in the December RIF, and I actually feel fortunate-- I've got a beginning to make. However, everyone still under the knife, which, in reality, is EVERYONE, is who I feel for.
My time is done in 7 days. No clue what 2018 will look like, but never doubt, H is all about the $$ and the higher-ups. whatever happens, broussard will not be lacking in any way.
All I can suggest is this: pay attention, listen to what is and isn't said, watch behaviors of leadership on all levels. question whatever you believe you need to question. Take care of you. Do what you need to do FOR YOU. happy-go-lucky humana kool-aid is no more. mice of all kinds are fleeing this ship....and no one is hearing from the so-called captain. different threads regarding the ridiculous town hall said it-- it is nonsense, bs they expect us to believe.

Open enrollment is exceed ing goals.
Don’t know for sure what’s coming but certainly, don’t be in denial. Changes are coming, no doubt. A backup plan is a good idea.
Okay so maybe posters aren’t reading all the threads. We won’t know if layoff is huge or small or whatever until after open enrollment.

If they already laid off about 2400 and this says 2700 total?- that is about 300. That is not another HUGE layoff . It s---s yes but is not HUGE like fear mongering original poster wants us to believe. You should be ashamed of yourself original poster. People like you make the situation much worse.
OMG, op.....please. This has been discussed in many threads, perhaps you haven’t seen them...to catch you .....yes, expect layoffs depending on open enrollment numbers. Hah is not being closed down, but revamped. Yes, Humana is looking to acquire/buy out.

I am sorry you are being treated poorly, PHC. I hope that you can see that you are an educated person and Humana did choose the very best people for positions.... which means, you are the very best too. I hope that God leads you to a place where you can be joyful and excited about coming into work again. We are all tired and emotionally drained at this point. I am thinking that a change in scenery would not be bad at all at this point.
I know this news about an impending Jan layoff is not new news at this point, and I am aware that the layoffs can hit anywhere in the company and maybe not just HAH, but I’m at a point, I’d be fine but if I am on that January list. I’m exhausted.
