Here is a little bit of info on Macy's. On November 28th, Macy's notified its entire Risk Management team that their positions would be outsourced to Sedgewick Claims Management Service out of Cincinnati. This will result in approximately 00 employees losing their jobs on February 1st, 2018. In addition many vendors who work with Macy's will also lose business.

I'll define Risk Management the best I could. It's usually an office in an obscure location (basement, mezz, dock) in a store with a staff and supervisor who process claims due to accidents involving customers or employees. They report to the corporate office in Cincinnati. Some people there are really nice and compassionate, some are just blatantly rude. If you've never had an accident as an employee, you would not know they exist. Nice or rude, I wish they find other positions offered to them in the stores.
What is risk management?
I worked with a really great guy in Risk Mgt on the West Coast. I hope he finds another opportunity. Then downsizing keeps on going... it’s inevitable that the store HRMs are next.
